WANTED

Jean-Michel Basquiat enrolled in Brooklyn’s City-As-School High School in 1976. Though he was expelled prior to graduating, over the subsequent 2 years, he would illustrate numerous School newsletters and programs and ultimately create the SAMO© persona with fellow classmate Al Diaz in 1978. This graduation program for the class of 1977 features a cover illustrated by Jean-Michel and is signed “Basquiat”.
