In a somewhat wandering essay, Rene Ricard discusses Contemporary Culture, Fame and Artists including Futura 2000, Kenny Scharf and Lee Quinones. Generally focused on the Fun Gallery, the essay ends with a reference to Jean-Michel Basquiat’s forthcoming solo exhibition at Patti Astor’s famed venue. This issue also features an advertisement for Basquiat’s Fun Gallery Exhibition and an advertisement for Annina Nosei which references his shows there.
