Colab’s Times Square Show (TSS) was one of the most important Art and Performance Exhibitions of the 20th Century. Paving the way for later shows such as Diego Cortez’ New York/New Wave exhibition at P.S. 1 and Fred Brathwaite and Futura 2000’s Beyond Words show at The Mudd Club, TSS’ mixture of Political, Identity-Focused and Street Art radically disrupted the Art World’s prevalent Conceptual Elitism.
